
The background is made up of 15 sheets of decorative paper, each pattern from the paper stack used. They've been cut and layered to resemble roof shingles. Each piece has been turned slightly upward which gives it a nice texture. Plus, fingering down the front is as soothing as digging into a barrel of beans!

Did you know? The cryptic mantis is a mantid native to southern Africa. Its common name comes from its ability to grow asymmetrically to match the vegetation of its environment. The only green portion are the leaf-like wings.
