Lil Christmas Lolita Willow

The challenge this week at Lil Lolita Boutique is any Anything Goes Christmas theme! I made this card with the new Lil Christmas Lolita Willow and went with a non traditional color scheme for Christmas. Her dress was so much fun to color! The other challenge theme was "Baby it's cold outside..."

Did you know? Marshmallows first came into being as a medicinal substance, from the mucilaginous extracts of the root of the marshmallow plant, Althaea Officinalis, as a soothing remedy for sore throats. The use of marshmallow to make a candy dates back to ancient Egypt, where the recipe called for extracting sap from the plant and mixing it with nuts and honey. Modern marshmallows came about from the invention of an extrusion process by the American Alex Doumak in 1948 which produces the cylindrical shape we're familiar with.
