Cuddle Anya

The challenge is to get odd with shapes and use 1 rectangle, 3 squares and 5 circles on the project. The rectangle is the card (or if you're a math geek then technically the largest square will also qualify as the rectangle), the 3 squares are on the left side and the 5 circles consists of the three corduroy buttons and two pearl accents.

Sometimes it can be hard to come up with new ideas for layouts and designs but that's why a challenge blog can be so helpful. Even if the creations are not entered into the challenge, the blogs always provide fresh and inspiring ideas.

Something To Do Garden w/ Audrey

The challenge is to create a card based on the sketch provided.

I actually created it to go on the refrigerator and combine it with the Something To Do Garden project from the post before. Each week, the little flower girls will be changed to reflect the new activities for that week.

Something To Do Garden

The challenge is to make a 3D item out of something recycled. I used an empty candy jar with left over craft sticks and created a "garden" for our summer activities. Now the kids can "pick" a flower from the "Something to do garden."

I colored seventeen little flower girls to plant in the garden, each with a different activity. They're all digital stamps and have been sized down to about 1-inch.

Tips, Tricks & Techniques 0x00E

Sometimes dithering can happen when printing digital stamps that have been resized. Dithering shows up as patterns of tiny dots in the white areas and is usually an undesirable result. If this happens then here are a couple options: Try printing from a different program - for example, MS Word will dither more often than an Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Illustrator. If an imaging program isn't avaible, then changing the page size versus the image itself might help.
