Little Witch

Here's a sneak peek of the new Whiff of Joy stamps that will be released next week, September 1st! This card uses Little Witch designed by Elisabeth Bell and exclusively sold by Whiff of Joy. The challenge is anything goes.

This is also the week I discovered two of my Copic markers have dried out! I guess I use E000 and E00 much more than I remember but I still thought they dried out too fast. Now I need to find a great place that sells refills. Any suggestions?

The abacus, also called a counting frame, is a calculating tool often constructed as a bamboo frame with beads sliding on wires; but originally they were beans or stones moved in grooves in sand or on tablets of wood, stone, or metal. The abacus is still widely used by merchants, traders and clerks in Asia, Africa, and elsewhere. The user of an abacus is called an abacist.

Ellie

This project is a chocolate bar wrap, however, if it stays on my desk too much longer then it's going to be an empty wrapper! This is my second attempt to find a pink salmon color - I'm getting closer. I used the digital stamp Ellie from InStyle Stamps which is newly released. Head on over to their blog as they are giving away a free digit when they hit 300 followers. Be sure to leave them a comment letting them know you came from here! (I think I get brownie points!)

It is in a subgroup of the Mamanuca archipelago, which is sited off the coast of Viti Levu, Fiji's largest island. The island became a tourist attraction following the film's release. Although it is identified by Kelly after Chuck's return as being "about 600 miles south of the Cook Islands," there is actually no land between Antarctica and the southern-most Cook Islands of Mangaia.

Did you know? Maize is the most widely grown crop in the Americas with 332 million metric tons grown annually in the United States alone. It is a grass domesticated by indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica in prehistoric times. The Aztecs and Mayans cultivated it in numerous varieties throughout central and southern Mexico, to cook or grind in a process called nixtamalization. Later the crop spread through much of the Americas. Between 1250 and 1700, nearly the whole continent had gained access to the crop.
