Slimy House and Chomps

How cool is this house! Make It Crafty has different styles of houses to complement several types of stamps and this one was perfect for my Monster challenge using Chomp. Check out Lollipop Crafts for the details and I hope to see your unique monster creations this week!

This was the first time coloring the Slime House so I used the same colors they show in the store, or at least tried to. The challenges were to make something with just one (only one flower left!) and anything goes.

NEWS: Today is also the debut of my Mum's new blog! Go check out Grandma's Pearl and leave her some comments of encouragement and good cheer! She would even be thrilled with a Follower or two. ;-D

Lil Lolita Lylah

I made this card using Lil Lolita Lylah from Tickled Pink Stamps. Lylah is one of my favorites because she can be used for any occasion, this time for Christmas. The challenge is to use two or more textures and layers; my texture is the layered paper and ribbon flowers. The other challenge is shabby or vintage, and I file this under shabby.

The background is made up of 15 sheets of decorative paper, each pattern from the paper stack used. They've been cut and layered to resemble roof shingles. Each piece has been turned slightly upward which gives it a nice texture. Plus, fingering down the front is as soothing as digging into a barrel of beans!

Did you know? Nielsen ratings are audience measurement systems that determine the audience size and composition of television programming. Ratings are gathered in one of two ways: (1) Viewer "diaries", in which a target audience self-records its viewing or listening habits; and (2) A more technologically sophisticated system uses Set Meters, which are small devices connected to televisions in selected homes.
