Sally

I made this card using Sally drawn by the very own Betty from Simply Betty Stamps! This is for the third day of Halloween where the challenge was to use a Sally Rag Doll as the image. I've done the whole web thing before, I know... but this time I wanted to see what it looked like with bows! I also drew the webs on the card to "tie" them all together. ;D

Did you know? A trestle is a rigid frame used as a support, especially referring to a bridge composed of a number of short spans supported by such frames, such as for railroads. However, many wooden roller coasters are built using design details similar to trestle bridges because it is so easy to make the roller coaster very high.

Did you know? Unlike some other cats, the cheetah is born with its characteristic spots, as well as a downy underlying fur on their necks extending to mid-back, which gives the cub the appearance of the Honey Badger, to scare away potential aggressors.

Lili

I decorated the top of this storage box using Lili from Simply Betty Stamps. The box is the perfect size to fix standard size cards to protect them when in transit. The challenge is anything but a card with a Halloween theme... bats, black cats, and skulls... check! However, I used a rainbow color scheme because it's my daughter's "favorite color!"

I got the idea of the envelop from a Whiff of Joy stamp called Charlotte Riding on Pigeon plus Sentiments. I drew it to get the right size and changed the postage stamp to be a little more fitting for Lili. :D Then stamped it with one of the sentiments included in that set.

Did you know? A rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the Sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere. A rainbow does not actually exist at a particular location in the sky. Rather the reflecting light is visible in the opposite direction of the Sun with respect to the observer, and the interior is always slightly brighter than the exterior.

Helium II will escape from a vessel that is not sealed by creeping along the sides until it reaches a warmer region where it evaporates.

It is a contrived acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart." It is sometimes described as a reverse Turing test, because it is administered by a machine and targeted to a human.

Lola Mummy

I made this card using Lola Mummy from Simply Betty Stamps along with the digital stamp Halloween Haunted House from Make It Crafty. This project is for the Second Day of Halloween Challenge which is to create a card or project using two Trick-or-Treaters. With little tidbits inbetween all the home chaos, it took me all day to color it!

I doubled up Lola Mummy pairing as two sisters and put them out Trick-or-Treating in front of a spooky Haunted House. This was my first attempt at this type of accordion fold card and I think I guessed wrong. But at least it stands and can be used as a display.

Here's a picture of just the background where I colored the sky in waves of purple. Because I knew Lola was going to be on the left side I tried to make plenty of room for them to walk and moved the house to the far right.

Did you know? Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in Mexico focusing on the gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. The celebration occurs on October 31 in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints' Day (November 1) and All Souls' Day (November 2). Due to occurring on the same day as Halloween, or the original celtic Samhain, the Day of the Dead is sometimes thought to be a similar holiday, and the two holidays have much in common.
