Agent Bubblegum Spying

Welcome to the second day of previews from Little Miss Muffet Stamps! Today we're showing off Agent Bubblegum Spying and a fairy, Breena Stitching.... and I chose to make something with Agent Bubblegum Spying. :D Come on over to the LMM Challenge blog and see the rest of the inspirational projects the DT have made for you!


My source of inspiration came from Chris at Sketching Stamper as I was very impressed by her grassy fields of flowers and wanted to try it out. I love her coloring too and the way she adds multiple colors for shading - which I also wanted to try, but one thing at a time. ;D Here's just two of her fields... Explorer Tilda and Spring Walk.


I started with the grass and used several of the YG colors with a few of the darker G range. Plus I added some Y in the mix and kept drawing in strands of tall grass until the pallet was completely covered. For the flowers, I got out some pink, blue and yellow acrylic paint and colored them with along with a few more strands of grass. Finally, I added some white strand with a gel pen and a few white flowers in the foreground.


I thought about adding a tree or some leaves at the top but then thought the image would be more in it's place if there wasn't any additional cover around. So I colored in the sky with B91, B60, C1 and C2. It's not an exact duplicate but I like how it turned out enough that I think I'll try it again. ;D I think it's the yellow and flowers that really make it happen. Thanks Chris for the inspriation!

Pluto

Yikes - I got stuck watching a movie!! Time to pause it and get the details included with my card here... Ok, you've got my full attention for a few minutes. LOL Today and tomorrow are New Releases for Little Miss Muffet Stamps and today I'm showing off Pluto! Come on over to the Challenge Blog to see more inspiration from today. ;D


Now this image has a little history to it and is actually a little part of a gift to Zoe for her birthday! Those that know her well or have watched her videos on YouTube know about her parrot, Pluto. So with a little inspriation from a different movie I was watching, Rio, I drew up this little guy one day and decided to suprise her with it. :D It came a little late but at last, it's finished.

Of course, Pluto is one smart cookie so I had to have him helping with gift wrapping. LOL Whether it's birthday, wedding, Christmas or any other celebration, I'm sure a gift wrapper will come in handy! For my card, I went for a Blue-and-Yellow Macaw with a bright and cheery birthday themed card.

Marissa Fairy

I've finished one of my projects from the "sheer clothing" challenge at Make it Colourful. This one is Marissa Fairy from Paper Makeup Stamps and I gave her a traditional dance outfit with a sheer cover. To help figure out where I was going to color I drew in pencil lines and then erased them almost completely before coloring.


For the journal page, I used kraft paper and pink decorative paper in the background and covered it with Punchinella Ribbon. The outside was brushed with acrylic white paint and then the page was finished off with ribbon, chippies, dew drops and rhinestone brads.

Julliette

I've actually had this page done for ages and was saving it for later in case it "fit" into a challenge - the only thing was, all of the challenges at Make it Colourful have been more complex than a "simple" image! LOL But this serves as a great reminder for other things going on and I'm finally going to share Julliette with you!


For my project I used Julliette and Victorian Chaise by Make it Crafty and believe it or not, I've colored them separately then cute each out and poped them on the page with dimensional foam inbetween each layer. To help redefine the lines after cutting, I took my Copic Multiliner brush marker out and went around the edges in black.


I was working on my technique of shadows in all those folds of her dress and ruffles and this might not have been the perfect image to start on - but it gave me plenty of chances to experiment with! I like how some areas turned out better than other and in the end I felt more comfortable with this look.


The journal page was decorated with some new black paper I found plus scraps of script, calendar and musch sheet decorative papers. I wanted to stay away from laces and ribbons and keep the focus on the eligant dress - so I used a piece of film strip for the horizontal element and the embelishments were kept plain in color but fancy for the theme.


I can't image what walking around in all those layers of cloth would be like but I would sure love to have curlylocks like her. ;D Here's a close up of her face and torso.

Birthday Zoe

Happy Birthday Zoe! This is a continuation of the grand celebration going on and you can check out all the details HERE including prizes, freebies and blog candy!! Hurry, there is only a few days left.

Art is in the eye of the beholder but sometimes there is such a good story behind the image that it becomes a masterpiece and this is certainly one of those! This image was created by Michelle and posted in the Make it Crafty FaceBook page and I couldn't resit playing with it... mainly because of the history of it's creation. Check out Zoe's post HERE.
