Howdy! We have a gorgeous inspirational post for you over at the Little Miss Muffet Challenges blog with LOTS of projects to drool over!! So be sure to head on over there and check out what the design team has to show off today. ;D We're have such fun with the Joint Release that we had to play some more - and here's my project to share...

I used elements from all three companies and if you're just joining in on the action make sure you head over to the Three Companies Team Up blog for the release details plus a challenge! On my project I used Evelyn from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, Paris Elements from Make it Crafty and I Heart You Tabs 2 from Whimsy. I also used the coordinating Tabs 2 die and N2 Fancy Frame chippie!

For Evelyn's dress color I was trying to go for a gold color and ended up using YR23, Y26, Y21, Y23 and YR30. It worked out better than I thought so I also colored her two sisters, Irene and Florence, in the same colors. After all, gold and art deco somehow just seem to go together, don't they?

The building was colored following Zoe's example in the store, Fancy Balcony. I put the computer up close to my coloring desk and tried to match the colors as best as possible - I loved how her's turned out so I was aiming for the same feel. :D I think what really makes this scene shine is the blue glass door/window and the added greenery - to me it really says "Paris!"

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Calender February Challenge - Love and Marriage
Little Claire's Designs Challenge #18 - Romance

Autumn Marci

It's "almost" winter here in Texas - at least, we had our first snow fall this week! It didn't stick long and it was only a short time before it quickly turned to sleet. But that's my excuse for this winter card and I'm sticking to it! LOL

For my project I used Autumn Marci and Garden Bench from La-La Land Crafts which I purchased back in January. I also used the Festive Lantern and Present in the Festive Elements Collection from Make it Crafty. Check out Marci's face... isn't it adorable! Out of all the ones I colored, so far this one turned out to be my favorite. :D

I used all the cool colors on this project plus a few beaded snowflakes from my collection as embellishments. The rest of the card was simple enough and with the dots of snow falling it gave the perfect chilly feeling. Brrrr... time for some hot cocoa!

Copic Colors: V91, V93, V95, V99, R17, R46, YR30, YR31, YG61, YG63, YG67, BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10, B01, B00, B000, B0000, B91, B93, B95, B97, E34, E25, E27, E04, R11, R12, E70, E70, E74, E77, E79, W2, W4, W6, W8, C1, C3, C5, C7

Season's Greetings Lola

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm excited to say that today starts the second challenge at Simply B Stamp and we have a fun one for you! This time we want you to get out your "Spritz, Masks and Paints" for your project! So go head - you've got our permission to get dirty. ;D You can check out the SBS Blog to see more inspiration, get the details on this challenge and to enter your projects!

For my project I used Season's Greetings Lola from Simply B Stamps and converted the theme into a Valentine project. My kids wear all sorts of hats, so why not a sock hat for non-Christmas days?! My five year old told me it was okay so it must be true! :D After all, what little mouse wouldn't adore getting a slice of cheese for Valentines - better than chocolate, he says. LOL

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up - the set name is "Douce douzaine" and all the sayings are in French. It's a great year-round themed set and this one, of course, is for Valentines.

To fit the challenge theme I used the Copic airbrush and R46 to give it color around the edges and on the kraft cardstock. I even got a little brave and tried to color the tips of her hair pink but didn't get very far before I was scared off. Next time, I'll brush it on like normal, however, it was a good experiment.

Hope you've got some grand plans for Valentines Day - I know I do! :D

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #108 - Anything but a card
