Hot Air Balloon

Here's another mid-challenge inspiration reminder and this one is for Make it Colourful where the them is to "Colour with Green!" You'll have to check out the blog and gallery for more projects as the design team has done an awesome job!!

For my project I used Hot Air Balloon and Valley Above from Make it Crafty plus a few chippies from the N1 Fancy Collection. The chippies coordinate well with the new Whimsy sentiments so I took advantage of that and stamped one from Stylized Notables 1. The rest of the journal page was put together with odds and ends found around my crafting space.

The Valley Above was a fun image to color and I used three different combinations of green for all the greenery. YG90's was used for the tree and BG90's was used for the evergreen trees. Then the grass and fields are basically colored with the G20's. With the three different tones of green it helps to define the scene.

I used a little green in the Hot Air Balloon but the rest was colored with contrasting rusts and tans to help set it off. The balloon was fun to color and I even got to add a few pleats. :D Hope you've enjoyed this journal page and thanks for stopping by!

If you're interested in being on the design team, then now is your chance! Zoe is having her first ever DT Call and this will be your once in a blue moon opportunity... perhaps an orange moon opportunity. ;D Good Luck!

Little Lavinia

I seem to be playing catch up this week but at least I've got something to do. LOL This project is for the Simply B Stamps Challenge #3 and the theme is to "Celebrate!" We want to see your celebration projects - any celebration too: Birthday, baby shower, wedding, Holiday.. anything goes just pick a celebration! And you have oodles of time but no procrastinating is allowed. :D

I've used Little Lavinia from Simply B Stamps as the main focus. The sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up! as are the ribbons, papers and decorative papers too. The little hat is one of the Hatter Hats from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which I had on my desk and thought it looked great with the clock. Lastly, the dragonfly chippies are from Make it Crafty.

I didn't know it but the ribbon can be curled with a pair of scissors, just like the packaging ribbon! I got the idea off of a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator site but I can't find the link now - it's just a neat idea that I had to try it out. :D

Hope you've enjoyed this bit of inspiration and thanks for stopping by! *Hugs

Sage

The challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps this week is to make "Easel, Shaped or Step Card" which was inspired directly by our very own DT member... Leah Ann! She always makes the most wonderful easel cards and sometimes I need an excuse to get out of the norm and this was perfect! So here is my easel card...

I used Sage from Little Miss Muffet Stamps to be the center focus of this card. For the top and inside of the card, I pretty much used the same layout, papers and embellishments. I could have added more and went all out but one step at a time. ;D The best part is, after looking at one of Leah Ann's cards, I had to get my own and so it was fitting to use it on this card too. Thanks for the inspiration!

The sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up but I don't remember which set it's from - it's a single stamp I have set aside because it use it more often. :D There's not much more to say about the card that you can see already. LOL But I will say... come back on Sunday for the New Releases from Little Miss Muffet Stamps this month!!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge #24 - Lace
Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge - Anything Goes
Everybody Art Challenge #184 - Easel Cards
Craft Your Passion Challenge #101 - Easel Cards

Astronaut Tilda

O'ho'ho'o! Have I got a special project for you today!! :D It's rare to actually capture Gilda but I finally found a good enough bribe and she posed for me just to share with you all! Confused yet? Well, this is Astronaut Tilda as she would look like if she lived on the moon.. Alien Gilda! LOL I saw Anneth's Wolverine Tilda the other day and couldn't resit giving it a try... so meet Gilda...

Well, what do you think? LOL We all want a Gilda in our collection right? Right? :D Ok, so not everyone will be a fan, I know, but she was such a fun challenge to color and it really opens up the possibilities for other faces too. Anneth has also donea Goth Tilda, which I tried but utterly failed and will have to try again later.

The colors in the face were done with N0-N8 and the new E80s colors which turned out great for the theme. I also colored the moon which was not a simple task.... I've done it several times before but never on such a large scale which made it super difficult to get the scaling correct in my mind. But one thing I've learned about coloring moons.... just keep going at it and eventually it will look "just fine!" :D

I wish there were a couple Magnolia only challenges to enter this into but I've used the wrong colors and there are no flowers on this project... so alas, no challenges will have to do. :D Anyway, I hope you like the inspiration, even if you're not a huge fan, but I still know it will make a perfect Father's day card this year. He he he. Cheers!

Le Parfum des Roses

I'm excited to share that I've been asked by my friend Tracy to guest at Copic Marker Europe today!! I've created this fun project to share and hope it brings you some inspiration for your next project. I used to pick out my decorative papers first but now I'm the other way around so sometimes it's impossible to find a perfect coordination but in this case I think the odds were in my favor. Check it out...

The images I used is from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and is called Le Parfum des Roses which means "The Smell of Roses." This is actually one of my first images to make it into rubber stamp form so it's exciting to use! The two background stamps are from Whimsy's Vintage Travel Postage Stamps set. Thank you to Jen (JLJ Designs) for the hat pins which coordinated perfectly with it project! And finally the chippies I used are Swirly Corners from Make it Crafty.

I supose since this is for Copic inspirational blog I should list some colors!! I think I used G40, G21 and G82 for the greens, plus a little BG93 and BG96 on the leaves; No-N8 for the blacks and whites; the reds are R14, R17, R27, R46 and R59; skin tones are E000, E00, E21, E53 and R11, R12 for blush; eyes are B91 and B95; and lastly the hair, which I *think* YR23, YR24 and E55.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!
