Blog Candy - You Make the Grade

It's blog candy time!! I found some duplicate stamps and thought I'd offer them up to ya'll as Followers to say thanks!! So here's the first one... You Make the Grade by Whiff of Joy! (Sentiment not included.)

So what do you have to do? Just double check that you're a Follower of this blog and leave your name in the collection below. Easy peasy lemon easy!! LOL I'll ship anywhere in the world and the collection closes on Saturday, April 7th at midnight, Central US time. I'll then announce the winner on Sunday. :D Good luck!

Le Parfum des Roses

Are you ready for something different?! This was my last card that I made this week and I'm skipping out for the weekend too so unfortunately no more coloring until next week. But with the card marathon I just endured I'm actually looking forward to a small break. LOL

This little cute is Le Parfum des Roses by Little Miss Muffet Stamps and is one ofthe first rubber stamps I released too. :D I had fun coloring this gal's dress and even took the large stripe pattern from the decorative paper and used it on the lower layers. I wasn't sure if it would work out but now that I see it finished I think it looks ok.

If I can say, this image is my favorite from the Petites Dames theme although they are all fun to color! I had fun putting this card together and it was nice to only have to make one of something. If you can beleive it was difficult - I shifted and moved around so many peices that I'm surpised I finished. LOL

I hope you've enjoyed it and have a great weekend! Although, words of wisdom to part with... don't drop andy droplets of Copic refill ink on your laptop because it doesn't come off! He he he

Taylor

Welcome back! It's another challenge day at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and this time our theme is super simple... Spring Colors (Pastels)! Anyone can play but IF you use a LMM stamp then you can submit "anything goes" and submit as many LMM projects you'd like to create. :D So head on over and check out the design team's project then create away!

For my project I used Taylor from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and created a small tag. I used some new paper and ribbon then put it all together with lace and felt clouds. :D I even dug into my forgotten button box to added some colorful embellishments.

It's been a busy week and I hope you've been enjoying all the extra posts. I have so many that I'm set clear until the end of May! But lucky for you, I'm going to bunch them up and post them in sets. That way I'll have plenty of other excuses to color and make even more! LOL Make sure you enter your name into the Follower's blog candy and don't miss out on the DT projects over at the LMMS Challenge blog. Thanks for stopping by! :D

Lucy Lycan and Lex

It's Wednesday - can you believe it? Yesterday felt like Wednesday all day so for me it's like getting an extra day in my week. :D So welcome back to my Wednesday and this time I have a new image to show off! It's part of the Spunky Spooks from Simply B Stamps! Don't forget to visit the SBS Blog for a chance to win these fun images!

This image is Lucy Lycan and Lex and she'd be perfect for all sorts of occasions! I just ador little Lex and this that's one adorable fox - might have to make a card with just him on it. :D All the other elements on the card are the same as before and in hind sight I should have put more images on the right side - you know, mix it up. I think this is the only one on the right! Alas, I don't think anyone will notice - at least, anyone else! LOL

Don't forget to come by later on this evening as I have another post scheduled. Thanks for visiting and hope your mid-week hasn't been a hump. Ciao!

Creepin' Crew

Check this out... another gift set of cards and this one was super easy! These are the Creepin' Creeper Crew Collection 1 from The Greeting Farm - who has generously sponsored my next The Paper Project test so you can start getting excited about that coming soon! In fact, I have two tests that I will be posting this month. :D But shhhhh.... it's a secret. LOL

This gift set actually uses the packaging that came with the Creepin' stamp set. I was just about to toss it when I just couldn't let go and decided it would be perfect to use on cards! So I got out my die cutters and found an oval size that fit most of them perfectly. There were a few that I didn't have enough space but I cut a second shape of the same size to layer behind it. You can see it mostly in the sentiments but as far as the receiver will go - they'll probably think it was a "creative" moment. :D Here's the gang...

Harlow

Jack

Tyler

Leslie

Noah

Jill

Sasha

I can't wait to get these colored up and perhaps even create another gift set. I know, I know, so many gift sets! But I can't tell you how many times I needed a quick gift here or there and this year I'm determined to stock up! :D

Thanks for stopping by and for all your lovely comments too! Hope this has inspired you and have a great mid-week!

Update: Since this is an older post but it fits perfectly into the current TGF challenge, I've entered this into the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge expecting no recognition and entered it "just for fun" (JFF) to share my ideas.

Lorna Loch and Nessie

Welcome back to another preview of Spunky Spooks from Simply B Stamps! This is the third on that has been revealed and the second one on my blog - so don't miss out on the first one and the design team inspiration over at the SBS Blog - plus you can see all the details and information on how you can win some of these fun images!

Today we're showing off Lorna Loch andNessie and this is one fun image to get your wacky colors out - I can see her in all sorts of colors with little Nessie! But in keeping with the gift set I had started, I used a monochromatic scheme and colored her with my T's Copic Markers. The vintage Alice in Wonderland paper is from Graphics 45 and I had enough to put one on every card with two left over!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you've enjoyed this second card I made. I already have all the cards bundled up and ready for October to give to one lucky teacher! :D

Haunting Hannah and Hoot

It's release week at Simply B Stamps and Betty has put together a new line called Spunky Spooks! There are six total and on the last day we're going to have a release blog hop! Make sure you head on over to the SBS Blog for all the details and information on how you can win some of these fun images!

The image I'm starting off with is Haunting Hannah and Hoot. I made cards out of each of them using the same elements and layout then combined them for a gift set. Basically everything I used are left over scraps from Halloween two years ago and it felt good to use it up. This ensemble was part of the 19 cards I made over the weekend. ;D

Also, just want to mention there are tons of new kits in the SBS Store along with some new digi stamps too! The Christmas Zombies are available in both rubber and kit form plus I see some Steampunks, Valentine Emos, Teen Scene, Rag Dolls and a whole bunch more. Happy Shopping!

Nora Claire Hatter

Just wanted to share with you a tag I had made using one of the Hatter girls - I actually had this one colored up and sitting on my desk for a while now and decided to do something. So I grabbed my trusty diecut tag and put this together. :D

The stamp I used is Nora Claire Hatter from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I added a few postage type sentiments in the background from Whimsy Stamps, Vintage Travel Postage. I had later gone in and added pearls scatter around witch really finished it off but had given it away before I could take another picture - so you'll have to image those for now. LOL

And yes, for those keeping track, I managed to color and make 19 cards this weekend - phew! Now only if I can do it again tomorrow then I'll finally be on top of things... but only for a week or two. He he he. What I can't figure out, is should I post them all at once, in large groupings or individually day by day? Hmmm, I guess you'll just have to find out. ;D

Thanks for dropping by and hope you've been inspired to make some tags!

Foxy

It's a new challenge over at Some Odd Girls and this month we have a color combo for you! It's a fun one too - anything with browns and pinks is fun. :D Be sure to head on over to the SOG Blog and check out all the other DT inspiration!

The image I used is Foxy from Some Odd Girl. Now I know foxes are normally red but brown foxes do exist and I wanted to give this cutie and new look. :D So I reached for my E40s and colored away.

For my project I created a tag and I decided to bring out some fabric to add to the mix. Then I used a Whimsy tag and layered it with a Make it Crafty chippies, painted in black. For the embellishments I sprinkled some dragonflies and gems and finished it off with ribbon. I'm getting a nice stash of tags and can't wait to start using them on gifts.

As a final project, I wanted to share a project from my oldest daughter. She took one look at me stamping Foxy and exclaimed that she wanted one too! Plus she wanted me to stamp a few other stamps that were hanging around on my desk. :D Here's her project and she even got to use my Copic markers - ah, what a day!

Hope you've enjoyed today's inspiration and thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
