Gingerbread Candy House

"No! Not the gumdrop buttons!!"  Yes!! And Gingerbread too!  :D  This is a project for the Make it Crafty Store Blog and the image I've used in the Gingerbread Candy House.  (And yes, I'll make this one into a card too ... eventually.)

In much the same way that Viv colored the stone bricks at MiC, that same technique can be used to color other things such as this Gingerbread Candy House.  I practically used the same technique for the gingerbread and the gumdrop candies.  However, this time I started with my darkest colors and worked my way up to the lighter ones, using dots all the way.  If they're done right after the other then eventually as you get to the lighter colors the texture starts to blend a little and making it come all together.

Here's a close up of the side of the house which shows the gingerbread and gumdrops in more details.  There was a lot of dotting that went into this one but the effect is perfect for what I wanted.  I also wanted to bring in all sorts of colors to make it bright and cheery like candy usually is but hopefully I've used enough reds and greens to keep it holiday oriented.  :D  After all, it IS a Gingerbread house!!

Pilgram Luka & Marci

It's Thanksgiving Day here in the US and also release day at Little Miss Muffet Stamps which I'm excited for both!  I would have loved to have a LMMS project to show but at least you can head over there too today and see what anew rubber and digital stamps have been released this week - plus you can take advantage of the "out of town" promotion that is going on right now.  :D  Anyway, I actually have a project to share which I had colored and created last year.  Can you believe I've been holding on to it for that long?  But it's a perfect card to say "Happy Thanksgiving" with!

For this project I used Pilgrim Marci & Luka from La-La Land Crafts and you may or may not recognize them as I has a little fun coloring their faces and giving them som character instead of the blank look they normally have.  Not everyone likes them this way but I guess it's up to you... what do you think?  Yea or Neah?

Here are the Copic markers I used on this project:  N0, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8, E59, E57, E55, E53, E21, E00, E000, E04, R11, R12, YR14, E08, E19, E59, B91, B93, B97, YG61, YG63, YG67, Y23, Y26, Y28, R14, R27, R46, V12, V15, V17

I hoe everyone is having a wonderful week (wether or not it's Thanksgiving in your area) and just wanted to gush out with Thankfullness while I had the opportunity.  I never would have imaginged that I could have so many friends on the internet and I'm so thankful to everyone!  I'm thanksful for your comments and encouragement!  Thank you, thank you!!  *Hugs

NEWS - Blog Candy for Two

I can't believe I haven't posted this before I left for vacation - I totally meant to do that! I guess if I have to forget one thing then this isn't so bad.  After all, it's Murphy's Law that every vacation means you've left something important home and that every mechanical repairs means there is at least one screw left over!  Seriously, that's that way it is at my house.  LOL

Are you ready for some more free stuff?!  Of course!!  This next offering I have is Blog Candy for Two winners!!  I've have these mini dicuts from Provo Craft/Cuttlebug that can use a new home so I'll divide them up randomly and send them to two winners.  :D   I don't have the names of any of these nor the set name they came in but this is a pretty good picture of what they are.  Each square is about 1.5x1.5" or is it 2x2"?  I'm not sure the exact size but they're the little Cuttlebug size squares.  Take a looksee...

Here's the regular details and how to participate in this blog candy.  As a huge thank you to my Followers, I'm going to regularly post freebies, blog candies and give-aways right here on this blog!!  I don't know exactly when the next NEWS will be posted so your time limit will be variable and between posts.  For example, on this offer here, you will have until I randomly post the next offer.  So what do you have to do to take advantage of these offers??  All you have to do is ...
Note: This offer has expired.
You can click HERE to see the most recent News.

If you would like to post the NEWS Badge on your sidebar then that is optional, however, it is a great tool to be notified of the next freebie.  Sounds impossible?  Na, it's simple and similar to the way I do the Little Miss Muffet NEWS Badge which has worked great!  (P.S. There's freebie opportunities over there too so be sure to add that badge while you're at it.)  Here is the code and details on this badge...

NOTE: This is important ... make sure you use the code above when grabbing the blinkie as it's the only way it will be will update automatically. Once it's on your blog, the blinkie will change when I post another offer and you'll get to see the latest news right from your sidebar!  It's a great way to get alerted whenever there is another freebie, blog candy or giveaway posted!!  :D

For freebies, I'll email out the image in a couple days and it will be in a PNG format.  For blog candies and give-aways, winners will be randomly selected and announced in the next NEWS post.  Then you can send me your mailing address and I'll ship out your goodies as soon as possible.

I think that about sums it up and thank you for stopping by!  *Hugs
