Snowelf

Since when did my favorite actors become "old?"  I've noticed lately that they're all playing older parents and featuring middle-age crisis in the movies!  Wow, that makes me feel old. But that's ok because they're just getting better and better.  :D

Here's anther one of my cards I was able to make during the holiday marathon, this one is using Snowelf from Make it Crafty which is part of the Cheeky Elves Collection.  From last year when I colored it I added a few shadows before mounting it on the card.  One of my main goals was to complete all the projects I had colord without having them all look the same!  That's such an easy rut for me to get into so hopefully I was able to break with these holiday cards that I'm posting.

Oh, and an update on the quilting project yesterday... I finished!!  Yes, a quilt I started (and then abandoned) about five years ago finally had the binding sewn on it.  :D  Ahh, that feels good - maybe I'll take a picture and post it here for all to see.  What do you think?

Irene

Happy New Year!  Thirteen happens to be my favorite number so hopefully 2013 will be a lucky year for me.  :D  I wanted to jump on quickly and share a project - I was hoping to have a New Year card to show off but this will be second best.  The images I used is Irene and Angel Wings from Little Miss Muffet Stamps; and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.  (The Angel Wings are on sale right now but you better hurry as I'll be setting them back to regular price later this week!)

If you can beleive it, I found the large white flower in the clearance bin at the craft store - there were six in the package for only 50 cents!  I wish I could have found more because even though the package said Christmas, they can be used year around - and I love the little sparkle and beads on the petals!!

I hope everyone is resting up and having a safe New Year's Day!  I have plans to quilt at Grandma's house with my daughters so hopefully we'll get something done in that department too.  :D  Happy New Year!!

Red Nose Roo

It's so exciting that today is the last day of the year - such an epic milestone for the year!  And ironically enough, I hope to spend it doing absolutely nothing!  LOL  Well, not nothing, but nothing for posterity sake and spend the day playing games and in the hobby room.  ;D  That sounds like a good day to me!!

The image on this card is Red Nose Roo from Make it Crafty.  I had used a black pen to add the hash marks for the shadowing then just this last week I went back in and added the color with Prismacolor Pencils.  I couldn't use the Copic markers as it would smear the black but the pencils worked great.  However, instead of coloring the whole image I decided to color just the festive portions.  :D

This image was one from my UFO (unfinished objects) stack so it's nice to feel a sense of accomplishment.  I'm slowly making progress on that stack and all of my projects in the in next couple of days will be from that.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve!!
