Angelica Praying

Welcome to the Make it Crafty New "New Beginnings" Blog Hop!!
You should have arrived here from the fabulous KASEY!

The theme for this hop is New Beginnings and I debated between creating a card representing something new (new house, new baby, new family, etc) or going for the New Year resolution approach... in the end I went with the New Year Resolutions because I needed to make *at least* one this year!  And what is that you might ask?  I really, really (and I mean super really) need to create projects with all the images I've colored.  Yep, that's what I've been saying all along but now it's time to make it a reality!  So here's one of my projects....

This card uses Angelica Praying from Make it Crafty and you can read about the coloring details HERE on the MiC Store Blog.  The other image from that post was finished and posted HERE.

If you need it, here is the complete blog hop...

Barbara {here}

I didn't get as many done this week as I had hoped to but I will say that I only have 5 MiC images left to do something with - isn't that amazing!!  (I'm not even going to count how many Little Miss Muffet images I have... not yet, at least!)  It's a good start and hopefully this will be one New Year Resolution I'll keep.  :D

Thanks for dropping by!
Your next stop in the hop is the awesome JENN DOVE!

NEWS - Create an Angel

It's time for another give-away here at ForgottenScraps and this time I have a couple of rubber stamps from Little Miss Muffet to give away!!  However, before I get to that, let's draw a winner for those fun diamond diecuts and that lucky winner is...

"How nice of you to offer the candy! :^) Hope you had a lovely Christmas! :^) Hugs, Penny"
Congratulations!  Please email me with your mailing address and I'll get them shipped out to you soon for your crafting pleasure.  :D Thanks to everyone who has participated and you're going to love this next give-away!

Did everyone see my card that I made using Iris May Hatter this week?  If not, click HERE as it was my official first project of the year and the inspiration for my next give-away!  After the card was finished I had thought of how cool, as in extra cool, it would have been to add the Angel Wings to her.  So that's the Give-away plus a chance to be a weekly guest designer at Little Miss Muffet Challenges!!

One lucky winner, chosen with, will receive not one, but both of these rubber stamps from Little Miss Muffet Stamps... Angel Wings and Iris May Hatter!!  Plus you'll have a chance to show us your creation by being a guest designer for one of the challenges with Little Miss Muffet Challenges!

Here's the regular details and how to participate in this blog candy.  As a huge thank you to my Followers, I'm going to regularly post freebies, blog candies and give-aways right here on this blog!!  I don't know exactly when the next NEWS will be posted so your time limit will be variable and between posts.  For example, on this offer here, you will have until I randomly post the next offer.  So what do you have to do to take advantage of these offers??  All you have to do is ...

There's freebie opportunities over there too so be sure to add that badge while you're at it.)  Here is the code and details on this badge...

NOTE: This is important ... make sure you use the code above when grabbing the blinkie as it's the only way it will be will update automatically. Once it's on your blog, the blinkie will change when I post another offer and you'll get to see the latest news right from your sidebar!  It's a great way to get alerted whenever there is another freebie, blog candy or giveaway posted!!  :D

Iris May Hatter

I've got a great project planned for today as today I'm featured as a Little Miss Muffet Stamp guest at Oozak's Blog!!   The challenge theme is "Anything Goes with Pink and Bling" which fits right up my alley.  :D  Since this was also my first project of the new year I thought I'd go all out and pile it high!  Check it out...

The image I chose to use is Iris May Hatter and also in the background I used the Party Banner diecut.  You can find them both at Little Miss Muffet Stamps AND in the Oozak Store!!

Pink is one of my favorite colors so I really had fun making this card.  I was going for a chabby chic look but that's always been more of a term and something I can't really define so hopefully I got it.  But none-the-less it gave me a good excuse to pull out of the Valentine papers and start focusing on those projects.  (If I don't put them away then everything turns out pink!  LOL)

I want to thank Ruby for all the wonderful items she sent me for the holiday including the large flowers, leaves and heart hat pins! (Thank You!) Another new thing I did on this card was get out the sewing machine!!   See the stitching around the card and also the layered part in the center?  Yep, that was done on my ol' Singer Featherweight machine which brings back a lot of memories.  Sigh

Finally here's a close up of Iris May Hatter.  I used sparkling gel on her shoes and hat then used a whte gel pen to draw in the hearts on her dress.  My own little princess would be envious.  :D

Hope you've enjoyed this little bit of inspiration.  Thanks for coming by and be sure to check out all the Little Miss Muffet products in the Oozak store and the other projects at the Oozak Blog!

This image is Saffron and I had colored a long time ago using Prismacolor Pencils on kraft paper.  I saw someone do a winter scene with the combination and loved it so I thought I'd give it a go.  Not sure about the results but at least I was able to get it on a card!!  LOL

The image is Saffron from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and I also used the Party Banner Diecut from Little Miss Mufffet Stamps in the background.  I love how versitale the diecut has been and the different looks I've been able to get out of it... I can happily say this is one design that turned out better than I expected!

For the colors, I wanted a Christmas holiday feel so I went with the green.  I really don't know if I had used a certain paper for inspiration when I colored it but I certainly didn't have anything to match when I assembled it. So I was hoping the little bit of red in the decorative paper would help tie in with the colors I used.  I think it works... if I squint.  He he he
