Sunbonnet Strawberry Jam

What a day!  And oh, I'm so glad it's over!  The kids are in bed and I can finally sit down and relax - not that they were any trouble, it's just that the quiet time is sooo nice after a Saturday of playing.  LOL Anyway, I wanted to share this card and it's one I've been excited about - I've made some peach jam this week and the whole time I had this stamp idea in my mind.  I couldn't wait to try it.  :D

This image is Sunbonnet Strawberry Jam from Little miss Muffet Stamps and drawn by Bugaboo.  The hat usually has seeds on it like a strawberry but after inking it up, I wiped them away with tissue.   Then with the seeds removed, I was able to color her peach for my peach jam.  :D

Sonny Honeycloud Mistletoe

Today is Super Saturday at Little Miss Muffet Stamps where we feature a rubber stamp that will be on sale for the week plus the freebie image for the day!  This is a limited time special and today I wanted to create something with the rubber stamp: Sonny Honeycloud Mistletoe!  She's a popular one and you'll want to make sure to visit the LMMS Blog for the other fabulous DT creations!

I went with some simple and used one layer of cardstock, Crygon sparkling white, and stamped my image directly on the page.  (The little ticket is a stamp from Stampin' Up!) Then I used some ribbon, a ticket and staples for embellishments.  There is a little doodling on the card too for the border and wind, as you can plainly see.  He he he

I went with a non-traditional color pallet and chose green, brown/tan and yellow/gold for this one.  The green is just enough to say Christmas but the yellow and brown off set it enough to be different.  Don't miss out on this one and jump into the LMMS Store to scoop her up while she's on discount!!

Sometime I just get lucky and today is one of them... there is a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps opening up today and the theme is "It's a Doodle!"  I thought I was doomed and didn't have a card ready.  :(  I had been working in the background on some new images and completely forgot about it, to be honest.  So I was just about to hang up my hat... er, put my Copics away, when I found this card already finished.  AND it has doodling on it!  How awesome is that?!

You may not recognize this image right away but it's a Sugar & Spice Dolls named Cocoa from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  When I inked her, I cleaned off the rubber stamp on her arm and her foot.  Then when I was coloring, I added "stuffing" that was coming out.  Also this is one of the images I colored using only 4 Copic colors!!  That's right... only 4!  I used  N6, G46, V17 and YG21.  (Plus the blender marker but I wasn't counting that.  LOL)  You should give it a try.  ;D

My doodling in around the edges of the image as well as doodling on the image itself - I added extra stitching, tears in the clothing, and thread where there are holes in the doll.  See, there's lots you can do with a doodling challenge!!

Skeleton Luka

It's October and that means the scary images are out and ready to be colored!  This project features Skeleton Luka from La La Land Crafts combined with images from Make it Crafty (Egyptian Chair, Egyptian Vase #1 and Egyptian Vase #4) to create this spooky scene.  Looks like the LLLC Customer Gallery is gone but if it comes back up then I'll enter this into the mix.

The face was directly inspired by Jennifer's amazing skeleton image she colors with another Make it Crafty image - one, that I'm proud so say, that I own!  Eeek!  Jennifer put it in an awesome frame and I've got it out for the season - it's amazing!  (If she doesn't post pictures soon then I might leak a few of my own.  LOL)

One of the challenges at Make it Colourful this month is to color eyes and so this one, though red and yellow, is one of my attempts at doing realistic eyes.  I goofed on the highlights and should have kept the white parts the same on both eyes instead of mirroring it - but hay, learn and live.  :D

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Stamp and Create October Challenge - Halloween or Thanksgiving
(I remembered the flat part but didn't see the A2 size until now)
Cards in Envy Challenge - Now That's Scary! (Just for fun only)

Maiden with Long Golden Hair

I've adored the fantasy collection ever since it's come out and for some reason it's taken me this long to get to them - for shame on me!  LOL  For this scene that I created, I cropped the character and then reduced the background.  This, I hoped, created a photo look as if she was on holiday at some famous location.  But hay, maybe this is her backyard and she has this awesome view everyday!  LOL

The hair color is actually what inspired me to color this image - they're the same colors I did the "Demon Clown Mommy" but this time I wanted to see how it looked on a princess image.  It was such a gorgeous combo!   The colors were Copics YR31, YR14, YR27, E07, E18 and E49.

The images I used on this project are:

Fancy Sunbonnet Winter

It's October and starting to get chilly already... but I'm cranking away (I hope) on my goals for the end of the year.  These are goals I've set for myself and so the end date is flexible, but having it so close is also getting me motivated.  :D  I'll share "my numbers" as of now but first.... who's up for some ice skating?

Here's a couple links that I'll share, the first one being the image I used on this project which you can find in the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store.  And the second link is to the LMMS blog and LMMS gallery where you'll find lots of other inspiration using these images!

plus accessories from the other Forest Friends rubber stamps
LMMS Blog and Gallery

As for writing this post, my goals on the upper left side of the blog are pretty small.  LMMS is 16 out of 44; MiC is 7 out of 150; SBS is 1 out of 13; and the overall C2C is 12 out of 252.  Now you can compare those number with the current numbers and let me know if I've progressed any - because sometimes I like to ignore them!  LOL
