Birthday Memories - Poodle

I've used the Birthday Memories designer series papers from Stampin' Up! to create this project and followed another card layout and idea from Juana Ambida. I also used some Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments for the sentiment and added some gems for sparkle plus the Balloon Honeycomb embellishment from the suite.

Heart Throb Kit

Here's another card I created with the Heart Throb Kit from Queen & Company. I got the card layout and idea from Michele Boyer from the Queen DT.  Thanks for the inspiration!

Peggy

For my project today I was inspired by Nicolette's bunny project and wanted to use the same layout. I found some of my pastel papers and then colored Peggy from Whimsy Stamps to use as the center focus. I added a couple die cut clouds and pasted it all together.

Here are the colors I used on Peggy:

YG21, 23, 17
BV23, 20, B41, C00, 1, 3
R00, E0000, 00, 30, 31
E30, 31, Y21, YR23, 24
E49, 27
E93, 95, 97, R02
B41, 12

This an other Whimsy Stamps are also available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

Sonny Honeycloud My Buddy

For my project today I've used Sonny Honeycloud My Buddy rubber stamp and the new Garden Border digital stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I wanted to create a simple background that would help me fill out the white paper I stamped on yet allow for a vibrant colors to be added. So the Garden Border is what I came up with.

These are the Copic markers I used on Sonny Honeycloud My Buddy and Garden Border:

YG97, 91, 63, 67, 23, 21
E31, 35, 37
E37, 21, 49, C3, 1, T7, 9
R02, E04
E49, 47, 44
YG95, 93, 91
YR23, 24, 30, 31
BG90, 72, 57
BG11, 10, 72
BV23, 0

To combine the digital and rubber stamps, I would print out the background to size in a very light gray.  Then I could stamp the rubber stamp directly over it and coloring would hide the light gray background. The fence would be colored with a darker color and on mine I also used a white gel pen.

Birthday Memories - Cake

I've used the Birthday Memories designer series papers from Stampin' Up! to create this project and followed the card layout from the coordinating stamp's catalog image. I also used some Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments for the sentiment and added some gems for sparkle.  Instead of using the stamps in the background, I substituted it for more decorative paper in the suite.

Birthday Memories - Fox

I've used the Birthday Memories designer series papers from Stampin' Up! to create this project and followed an idea layout and idea design by the amazingly talented Juana Ambida. I also used some Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments for the sentiment and added some gems for sparkle. I didn't have the same metal die for the grass so I improvised with the tree one.

Theodore's Birthday

Here's an inspirational project for this week. On this project I've used Theodore's Birthday rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I had colored this image before (see it HERE) so I wanted to go with something different - to do that I used a different color pallet and colored the words differently. It's so fun to see how a stamp can be changed by just using different colors. I think this will work well for a baby card too.

These are the Copic markers I used on Theodore's Birthday:

R12, 17, 46
T1, 3, 5, 7
YG63, G43, 20
R12, E04, R43, RV42
B41, 95, BG72
YR30, 31, 23

Gazebo Overlook

For my project today, I've used Gazebo Overlook by DoveArt for Whimsy Stamps. When I started out, I had a bunch of ideas on how to make the scene stand out but the one that I wanted to try out the most was a night time sky. So that is what I started with.  It might have been better to leave that until last because once I got that dark blue on there, I had trepidation that this wouldn't work out.  But I persevered and the final image came out.

These are the Copic colors I used on Gazebo Overlook:

C1, 3, 5, 7, BV23
B39, 000, 91, 93, 95
YG97,67, 63, 23, 21
E47, 44, 43, 42
white gel pen

This and other Whimsy Stamps are also available at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

Theodore's Shamrocks

I know it was just a couple days ago that I posted a project using this same stamp but I was compelled to use it again. This is actually the label from the Theodore's Shamrocks rubber stamp package from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. As I was opening up the package, I could toss it out and thought it would make an excellent little note card.

I fussy cut around the image and added some white dots with the gel pen. Then grabbed some coordinating paper and accessories and quickly put this together. I don't open new packages very often (because I just order an extra stamp for myself before packaging) but if I did, then I'd certainly do this more often. It's like receiving a bonus!  :D

Theodore's Shamrocks

I'm pretending to be super-early for next year's St. Patrick's day instead of admitting that I was late again. LOL But I was in the mood for green and this stamp fit the bill. This is Theodore's Shamrocks rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  The background is Word Search Birthday Sentiments digital stamp also from Little Miss Muffet Stamps which was colored with Distress inks.

A new link challenge has opened up at Little Miss Muffet Challenges too. Come on over to add one of your projects from this week. We are saying farewell to a few guests and adding a few more for the next term.

These are the Copic markers I used on Theodore's Shamrocks:

YG21, 25, 63, G94
YG99, 63, 61, G94
E41, 42, 43, 44
W4, 6, 8, BV23
Y25, YR24
R05, 46, 59
BG10, 11

These are the Distress inks I used on Word Search Birthday Sentiments:

Hickory Smoke
Salty Ocean
Evergreen Bough
Mowed Lawn

Bunny Picking Flowers

It's new release week at Whimsy Stamps and today I'm showcasing Bunny Picking Flowers. I have also used the Shaker Maker Rectangle Die Set for the frame in the middle and Pinwheels Stencil in the center.  Even though it's a bunny card, I wanted to make it generic so I went with this soft color pallet that included lots of neutral colors.

The Copic marks I used on Bunny Picking Flowers are:

E41, 42, 43, 44
BG11, 15, 93
YG21, 23, 63
Y35, YR31, 30

For the sentiment I used Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments. I left them naked since it seemed to go well with the papers and color theme and I didn't want them to stand out more than the bunny. With the darker edges from cutting, I think it works out well.

Unicorn Framed

Welcome to the April release from Whimsy Stamps! This is Day 1 and I have a project that features the Unicorn Framed rubber stamp. In the background, I've also used the Swish Stencil with white gesso because I wanted a horizontal elements but didn't want to use ribbon, which I typically use.

Here are the Copic markers that I used on Unicorn Framed:

C3, 1, W8, 6, 4, 1, BV23
YG21, 23, 63, G94
YR30, 31
BG57, 15, 10

My goal for this card was to see if I could create a boy-themed card even though the image was a unicorn. I have a hard time deciding but maybe it works for a younger boy.  Some of the things that I thought would help was boy-themed paper, metal star embellishments and a black horn instead of pink or yellow.  I tried to stay away from ribbon or circles but in the end I added a little glitter to the horn and border just because a unicorn IS magical, right?!

Claudia's Tutu

I've reached back into my scraps of papers and pulled out a few odds and ends to make this card. I have a couple paper pads that have only a few papers left so I try to use them up.  For this project, I've used Claudia's Tutu from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I went with a green outfit instead of pink or purple to help with the shabby chic feels on the card.  I then distressed the edges of the paper, sewed them and added some lacy elements and sparkling gems.

Here are the Copic markers I used on Claudia's Tutu:

BG70, 72, G40, 21, YG63
C0, 1, 3, 5
R05, 11
E43, 42, 41, 49, BV23

Fairy and Her Bunny

This is Fairy and Her Bunny from Whimsy Stamps and I have a picture tutorial on how I colored her face. This fairy has been colored wonderfully in so many ways that I had a little trepidation starting. But I thought some pink hair would help me out and decided to get started nonetheless. The tutorial shows how I colored this fairy and I use the same techniques on all the faces that I color in this way. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for those asking for a tutorial. It's nice to know what is helpful to show and what isn't. :D So this is how I color a face when I give it larger eyes. I first define the features with the skin tones, then add the pupil, shading and finish up with a white gel pen. The face doesn't really sparkle until the white is added so keep pressing forward to the end.

(Click on the photo for a larger view.)

These are the Copic markers I used on Fairy and Her Bunny:

E30, 31, 35, 0000, R12, B01, 69, 05, C3, C1, E49, W8, BV23
E04, RV14, R21
BG93, YG11, G21
YR30, 23, Y35
B52, 01, 00, 000
YG63, 17, 99

For the wings, I didn't color them and made sure to color the clothes and hair under them. Then I used a glitter pen to color the wings and the white gel pen to make some highlights. I also used the glitter pen on the "Hello" sentiment, which is a Make it Crafty chipboard embellishment.
