Girlfriends Quilt

I created this card using the fun stamp Girlfriends Quilt from Art Impressions. My Mum is a quilter so naturally this one fell into her cart when we saw it on sale at Hobby Lobby.  We then colored it together and this is my version.  Now we're thinking about getting another girlfriend stamp... hmmm, which one?

Penguinish Monster

I don't really have a good name for this monster but it seems to look like a penguin monster. This is another monster from the Edward's Crochet Imaginarium by Kerry Lord crochet pattern book.

The yarn is baby blanket yarn so it's really soft but it was bulky to work with. The hook size was recommended as M but I used a L - but even then it was too large so I removed about a dozen rows from the standard body form.  Turned out great and A+ approved by my kids.

Skelekinz Wings

There's a new release at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and you can grab some last minute Valentine images too.  For my project, I've chosen to use a older rubber stamp and go for another sweet Valentine card.  This is Skelekinz Wings rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

Also, there's a new Anything Goes challenge this week - come link any project!

Autumn Happiness

Happy Valentines day, early!  I have a fun project to share today using Autumn Happiness which I converted from an autumn theme to a Valentine theme.  I did this by stamping the image in light pink so I could color over the leaves and change the shape.  I also added a few Wee accessory stamps in light gray - which is also easy to color over.

I first stamped Autumn Happiness in light pink.  Then in light gray, I stamped the two accessory Wee stamps which came as a gift for placing an order.  They were so cute, I wanted to add them to something and this guy's tail was a perfect perch.  From this point, I started to color the leaves in heart shapes.

After I colored some hearts over the larger leaves, then I colored the rest by filling it in with smaller leaves.  Lastly, I added some white accents and started to color the rest of the image.  I even added a little creative color placement on the tail and carried the white stripe around from his belly.

Here are the Copic markers I used on Autumn Happiness:

Sweet Smiles

For this project I've used Sweet Smiles from Lawn Fawn. For some reason, I had a card base with half a scalloped circle punched out of the corner. I wasn't sure why I did that but I started to think about how I could use it.  I've seen the "bite" cards in the past and thought this would be a perfect opportunity.  It took me a couple tries to figure it out, especially to find a suitable stamp, but this is the end result.

These are the Copic markers I used on Sweet Smiles:

BG000, 53, 57

Birthday Memories - Daddy Bear

I often feel like I have to use my own LMMS projects for promotional uses so I never have enough birthday cards on hand to use.  I think I've found my solution for that!  I've used the Birthday Memories designer series papers from Stampin' Up! to create this project and followed the lovely card idea from Patsy Waggoner.  I also used some Make it Crafty chipboard embellishments for the sentiment and a couple star gems for sparkle. She has some other cute cards on her website too.
